Over the past year, in his role as Director of Marketing for ActivSkin, Steve Newman was interviewed a number of times on TV and radio. He serves as the de facto spokesman for media inquiries about the men's legwear trend anywhere in North America--as well as other English-speaking countries like Great Britain. Between the media exposure and his popular legwear blog, The Nylon Gene, he has become one of the most well-known proponents of the growing men's legwear trend. Media representatives interested in publishing newspaper articles or TV/radio segments on the mantyhose trend (history, background, rationale, etc.) should contact Steve. His contact information can be found on his blog under "Click Here to Contact..."

June 23, 2009 - This was the second of three appearances by Steve Newman of ActivSkin Legwear for Men on NBC4-TV in Columbus, OH (WCMH-TV) in the USA. Steve was the guest of Gail Hogan, host of the TV show, Daytime Columbus. Steve and Gail discussed the occupational aspects of men's legwear (aka, male tights, men's pantyhose, mantyhose, etc.), and how certain occupations place more strain on our leg circulation, leading to blood pooling in them and causing aching, cramping and heaviness. While women have always had access to support pantyhose and tights to alleviate these symptoms, men have had to make do with the pain and discomfort. With the advent of a growing number of companies selling pantyhose and tights made for men--first among them ActivSkin--that is no longer the case. Watch the video to get the full story shared in this entertaining interview, in which Steve wore black sheer hosiery on air to demonstrate what he was talking about for viewers.
