about Project e-MANcipate!
The Project was founded in 2003 to speed up the mainstraiming process of male pantyhose.
At the point when Levee came with the WoMan series to the market I became very enthusiastic about our issue.
So I created Project e-MANcipate! and tried to involve as many people as I could through the internet, as I thought that it was the time for local actions worldwide (like going to local shops and try to impress shopkeepers to sell male pantyhose). I had to realise that it wasn't working, so I kept this page only.
My vision is always about marketing and media. I plan to create 'collections' once or twice a year - basically guides that show gents wearing pantyhose in a fashionable way -, print them and send to pantyhose manufacturers, fashion designers and newspapers to show them it's OK to wear, and, on the other hand, to keep the issue covered in the media. I would also put together downloadable media kits containing high-res photos for offline and online media to use in articles about male pantyhose.
You can read more about at Geraden's blog (which is a must to see anyway). Direct links to my contributions: mainstreaiming-1 , mainstreaming-2 , about my sites and most recently Winning the Nylon War.
Obviously there are other ways to help the progress uf our issue. With a friend of mine we have imported a few hundred pairs of Evona mph in 2004, and sold through an underwear shop; but at the end I had to realise that I was not a merchant.
I also maintain a website targeted to hosiery industry professionals - I am building it very, very slowly and try to keep the contents clear and rather professional (thanks to Geraden for the corrections). And at last but not least, I created the Wikipedia article about pantyhose for men and maintain it with Geraden.
If you like these pages and would like to see them growing/improving, or if you would like such an activity I described above, please support the Project!
