Who is this e-MANcipate and this Chan Kraemer??!


As Chinese newspaper "Global Times" recently wrote,Chan Kraemer loves tights and wants you to love them too.

Project e-MANcipate was founded back in 2003, as Chan Kraemer, a long-time hosiery wearer was fed up with the fact that his favorite piece of clothing was considered as a female-only item. Even worse, many people associated the male pantyhose wearing habit with fetishes and other gender issues.

Chan decided to create a page on the net that provides tasteful images, to show that pantyhose for men - or as we call now, 'mantyhose' - can be a fashionable clothing item without any side thoughts or negative associations.

e-MANcipate slowly evolved into an online medium, promoter of the mantyhose, a community center. Chan also plans to launch his own mantyhose line soon.


So here comes our classical agenda page.

Why do we promote it?

We believe that the pantyhose for men trend is healthy, sexy and positive. (Oh! I can't yet prove that it's sexy - so I'm working on it.)

We are avid pantyhose / tights wearer men, disturbed by the fact that ph is still considered as a female-only clothing. Brrr! What about gender equality? And by the way, are all the women who wear trousers crossdressers?


Sexy - clothing beyond ties and dress socks

Guys could really show off their legs in a manly way, and make the fashion palette more colorful.

Dressing up is fun, and men should be finally part of it, too (doubts? ask a woman!!!). Male legs are a terra incognita, and could be illustrated with pantyhose well.

We also believe it's not necessarily metro. It can be worn with the existing, regular, even macho, outfit. Read more in the recommendations section about how to wear it.


Healthy - keeps your legs fit all day

It helps to improve performance in sports or jobs related to heavy leg loads; is helps to survive long flights, keeps male legs warm during winters or cool during summers (it helps to disperse perspiration better as it increases the surface of your skin when you wear it with shorts - suspicious? Try it and see.).


Positive - only positive sides

Finally an issue that has only positive sides! Men will be healthier, sexier; therefore their women will be happier to have those healthier and sexier men, the hosiery industry will explore a new market, and the consumption-driven economy finally recovers :)
