I was wondering if pantyhose for men - mantyhose - could really enter the everyday life one day. Just like any other unisex gament.
If it's unisex at all - but I believe it is, and could be part of the everyday male outfit.
The young team of Superated, an emerging fashion designer house from Vienna / Austria seem to share my views, at least as they used black pantyhose as a styling element at one of their fashion shows.
The interesting thing about this is that they did it exactly the way I believe it could work - nothing special attributes attached, just using the hosiery to cover the legs of the model in style.
Peter Holzinger, one of the owners, told e-MANcipate: "There is no reason why a practical garment like thights should not be worn by man."
Asked if he intented to use mantyhose more frequently, he replied "you never know".
Superated recently opened a shop in Vienna together with ink-paint clothing designer Petra Kräutner where they also sell mantyhose.
